Aviation Nation 2022

The biggest Las Vegas air show in 2022 is the Aviation Nation air show. It is also one of the largest air shows in the United States. The show is a two-day event, taking place on November 5 and November 6. Gates open at 8 a.m. to transport people from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway onto Nellis Air Force Base.

The show features aerobatic flying, group performances, stunt planes, and air combat simulations using old and new aircraft, including:

• USAF Thunderbirds
• Aftershock
• Bill Stein
• Jodi Rueger
• Horseman
• Growler
• Acemaker
• Heritage Flight featuring an F-35, F-22, P-51, and F-86
• USAF Demo Teams
• Combined Arms Demo
• Joint Tactical Air Control
• SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape)

You can also check out the latest military jets, fighters, phantoms, and bombers since Nellis AFB is the primary training base. The show even features various exhibits where you can get up close with aircraft.

Pahrump Balloon Festival 2022

The Pahrump Balloon Festival begins on November 11 and goes through November 13 at Petrack Park in Pahrump, NV. This show features more than 30 hot air pilots, daytime and nighttime displays, and even pilots parachuting out of the balloons.

The festival includes music, food, over 110 vendors, a car show, and a carnival. Parhump is about an hour east of Las Vegas by car if you wish to attend.

If you are unable to check out the Aviation Nation air show, you can still get up and close with different exhibits by attending one of the Las Vegas air show conventions at one of these locations:

• October 17 - 19, 2022 - Las Vegas Convention Center - NBAA - Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition 2022 - You can check out hi-tech aircraft, business jets, and airplane models at indoor and outdoor exhibits during this convention.
• December 12 - 15, 2022 - Forum Convention Center - 2022 ICAS Convention: This convention features professionals in the air show industry. However, you can attend to check out the exhibit hall or sign up to participate in education sessions to learn more about this industry, including stunt pilot jobs and how to become a stunt pilot.
