Is Las Vegas good to visit during Christmas?

Absolutely! Las Vegas is famously known as the city that never sleeps, and this is especially true during Christmas. The city is beautifully adorned with shimmering lights and decorations, creating a magical, festive atmosphere that's hard to resist.

You can expect to see holiday-themed shows, displays, and even musical performances throughout the city. And if you love shopping, the many casinos and resorts will have their own Christmas markets where you can find unique gifts for your loved ones.

What is there to do in Las Vegas at Christmas time?

Here are some of the best winter activities in Las Vegas for you to enjoy with your loved ones:

1. See the dazzling Glittering Lights

Pull up to the biggest drive-thru light show in the state at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. With three million lights and 170 lit trees, it's a sight to behold. The Glittering Lights presentation is a spectacular 2.5-mile route featuring a live nativity scene and is open from November 6 to January 7.

2. Catch a thrill with Sky Combat Ace

Sky Combat Ace offers exhilarating airborne adventures that are sure to get your heart racing. Imagine soaring above the iconic Las Vegas Strip or the stunning Nevada desert.

You can take control of a plane under the supervision of a highly trained pilot, or even engage in a simulated air combat mission. It's an adrenaline-fueled experience that you won't find anywhere else!

3. Visit the holiday experience

The holiday spirit is inescapable in Las Vegas, especially at The Park. Every weekend in December, along with other selected dates, The Park comes alive with carolers from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Follow them to Toshiba Plaza for surprise dining experiences, serving holiday goodies like mulled wine and German sausages.

Additional live performances are a regular feature at The Park — and being in Las Vegas, you never know who might grace the stage. It's one of the best Christmas activities in Las Vegas that's not to be missed.

4. Check out the LINQ Promenade

The Flamingo and the LINQ Promenade are a festive haven right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. This dual hotel celebration comes alive with sparkling trees, holiday deals, and extravagant fun.

With bright pink decorations at the Flamingo's Wildlife Habitat, toasty fire pits, seasonal drinks at the bar, and a pop-up bar serving holiday-themed cocktails, the festivities are endless.

The LINQ Promenade also offers holiday discounts and mouth-watering specials like Candy Cane Cheesecake and hot cocoas, alongside discounted virtual reality adventures.

5. Enjoy the Winter Wonderland

The Aria Resort's Winter Wonderland display is a feast for the eyes and the palate, composed entirely of edible delights. The highlight is a massive snow globe inhabited by a chocolate snowman and gingerbread man.

Surrounding them are towering trees made from 1,000 French macarons, adorable handcrafted bears, and hefty sugar cubes. After marveling at the display, which took over 200 hours to create, you can indulge your sweet tooth at the nearby Aria Patisserie and capture some memories at their special holiday photo spot.

6. Skate the Ice Rink

The Cosmopolitan's Boulevard Pool becomes a frosty oasis above the Las Vegas Strip each holiday season. The Ice Rink provides a 4,200 sq. ft. area for skating, along with campfire s'mores and seasonal food and drinks, all set against the backdrop of the sparkling Las Vegas lights.

Rated as one of North America's top 10 rinks by USA Today, the Ice Rink offers comprehensive access with its entrance fee, which includes skate rentals. Guests are also welcome to bring their own skates at the same rates. The Boulevard Pool and Ice Rink area are open to the public free of charge.

7. Experience the Immersive Nutcracker

Step into the magical universe of the classic Christmas ballet with The Immersive Nutcracker. This 30-minute holiday spectacle combines breathtaking visuals with beloved music, creating an all-ages experience that's unforgettable.
