2 Day Combat Flight Lead (3 Flights)

As you get familiar with Sky Combat Ace, you quickly realize there are a lot of options to explore. If you can't zero in on just one package, why not try one of our multi-day combinations? The 2 Day Combat Flight Lead package combines three of our most popular flights from the Sightseeing, Aerobatic and Aerial Dogfighting packages and spreads them out over 2 days. This package gives you plenty of time process what you learn and really explore aerobatics and aerial dogfighting at an advanced level. On Day 1, you and an instructor pilot will fly the Waco Vegas Valley Tour in an open cockpit biplane. This is a great introduction to the joy of flying.  After you land, you will take a break, have lunch and get ready for some heart thumping aerobatics with a Top Gun mission to be flown in either our Waco YMF 5C or Extra 330LC. Get a good night's rest, because on Day 2, you are paired up with a real fighter pilot to learn the art of aerial dogfighting in our high performance Extra 330LC!

Day 1: Waco Las Vegas Area Tour 

Long for the glory days of aviation?  Then come fly the Waco YMF-5C Classic open cockpit biplane!  Built in 2001 from the original 1930s plans, this aircraft has been described as "art in the sky" and makes for the ideal sightseeing platform as you tour the sights in and around Las Vegas.  The spacious front bench seat can accommodate you, and if you desire, one other special passenger, as the pilot in the back seat acts as your own personal tour guide over the city.  Not only will you be flying a piece of history, you will be seeing our beautiful city from a vantage point that few can imagine.
Our 1 hour 15 minute tour starts as we takeoff from Henderson Executive airport and head east over Dutchman's Pass to fly over the historic town of Boulder City, which came into existence due to its close proximity to the Hoover Dam construction site. Take in the views as we circle over Black Canyon and the Hoover Dam itself, still a marvel of construction, named one of the Seven Wonders of the Indusrial World.  From there, we turn Northwest to fly over the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, all the while admiring the unique scenery of the Mojave desert.
On the North side of the lake, we turn to the West and you get a magnificent view of the Las Vegas Strip as we head towards Red Rock State Park.  Named for it's bright red rock faces and brilliant color sandstone, Red Rocks is one of the most beautiful areas surrounding Las Vegas and features 2,000' jagged cliffs overlooking a verdant valley. As we leave Red Rock we turn towards the quaint town of Blue Diamond and cross over the Sloan mine just outside the city limits.  The last leg of our journey takes us over the southern tip of the city before you will see the airport at your 12 o'clock position as we line up for final.

Top Gun Experience

Not for the faint of heart, the Top Gun Experience is designed for those who want to get serious about their aerobatic thrills.
Twice as long as The Afterburner, the Top Gun Experience is an interactive adventure of a lifetime. This profile includes many of the same maneuvers as an Afterburner, but this time... YOU FLY THE PLANE!
That’s right, once our highly trained instructor pilots show you how to do a maneuver, it’s your turn at the controls.  Don't worry, no flight experience is necessary. There is an identical set of flight controls in the back, where our expert instructors sit, so they are there to help out in the event you need it. You will be amazed at what you can do in these unbelievable airplanes after a small amount of training.
You will see for yourself what it is like to fly a world class aerobatic aircraft as you pull back on the stick to execute a perfect loop. Watch the horizon spin at up to 420 degrees per second as you try out your first aileron roll.  After the aerobatics, your ride is far from over! Feel your stomach lurch, as you dive to the deck and experience firsthand what it is like to execute a dynamic low level profile through the beautiful mountains south of Las Vegas in a simulated bomb run on a ground target.
Watch the desert fall away beneath you as you pop up for 20 degree low angle pass on a simulated SA-5 missle sight. Feel the satisfaction, knowing that you flew a perfect wire to get bombs on target. From there, enjoy the ride home as you come up initial and pitch out to land, having aced your very own Top Gun Experience!

Day 2:  Sky Combat Experience

Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a fighter pilot? Stop imagining and discover for yourself the thrill of engaging with another airplane in air-to-air combat.  This is not a simulation. You are flying real high performance airplanes with real fighter pilots.  Of course, we don't shoot real bullets, because that would hurt! However, we do use a state-of-the-art optical targeting system that gives you instantaneous feedback when you get "the kill".

Best of all, YOU FLY THE PLANE! That’s right, YOU are at the controls as YOU execute the air-to-air combat tactics that have been developed from the earliest days of the Red Baron.  Don't worry, you don't need any flight experience, just a need for speed! Under the supervision of one of our expert combat fighter pilots, we teach you the art of basic fighter maneuvers, which will enable you to outmaneuver your opponent and get the kill.

This is the ultimate competitive challenge! Bring a friend or fly against one of our instructors.
